Not much is known about Better Call Saul season 2, but here’s one thing we know for sure, according to Patrick Fabian: “Howard Hamlin will still be the best-dressed man on the show.”
The actor teased the events to come while attending EW’s SAG Awards party on Friday in Los Angeles. “I think last year was a real set up for a lot of stuff,” he said. “For fans who were anxious for a little more to get going, season 2 starts to deliver on that promise, so I don’t think anybody is going to be disappointed.”
As Fabian teased, we won’t be disappointed in his sartorial game. One particular moment last season involving him and Bob Odenkirk wearing the same suit taught him “not everyone can wear pinstripes.”
“The day that we shot that I went out to see the billboard first,” he said. “I hadn’t seen [Odenkirk] actually in the suit, so my first exposure was actually to stand there and actually see him 150 feet tall. It was fantastic. And then doing the scene, it really was like the Groucho Marx mirror routine. I kept thinking, ‘Do I look that silly?’ Bob kept assuring me, yes I did.”
“I don’t know if we’re going to start a new trend, but I do know from last year that you could not find knit ties and by the end of the season you could find knit ties,” he added. “So that’s a good thing.”
Better Call Saul season 2 will premiere Feb. 15 on AMC.
